7. Report on PHSZD zoning permit applications

8. Review the City of Los Alamos (LA), New Mexico's recent ordinance changes. The City of Los Alamos is 11.11 square miles and contains about 12,000 residents. Other than the historic overlay areas, the existing housing stock and subdivision design are the same—age and lot size as Paradise Hills. The new LA City Ordinance is consumer-friendly, user-friendly, and progressive. Ordinance Sections contain neighborhood protection, nuisance enforcement, environmental preservation, off-street parking, and best national planning practices. The newly revised ordinance also contains sections not present in the 2009 PHSZD Ordinance and could serve as a template for the Commission to adopt missing ordinance material quickly. It also complies with NM State Zoning Statutes and NM Court rulings. Reading materials for Commissioners will be sent out 48 hrs before the meeting.
